ART PLAYGROUP
When: Temporarily on Hiatus Age: from sitting up/playing independently
Art Playgroup is an hour of child led, open-ended exploration and play. We provide the warm, relaxed environment and beautiful, inviting materials, and the little people provide the joy, delight, imagination, invention and fun. When it comes to art, children are all about the process. And so are we. At Art Playgroup children can explore the materials at their own pace and in whatever way they choose. They might try out all the materials, or just one. They might make something unmistakably recognisable out of play-dough, or just pummel it with their fists. It's all about the process. The joyful, creative freedom of exploration. They might take home an original piece of fridge-worthy art, or they might wear home some original art! But they will certainly leave having practised new skills, solved problems, stimulated neural connections, developed creative thinking - and had a whole lot of colourful, messy fun in the process.
